Baby O update
I went to my doctor on Tuesday, having the feeling that were would be no changes from the previous week. Yup, I was right. Baby's head is down and has dropped, but still no dialation. I notice Dr. Cline looking at the calendar, and I'm thinking to myself, Yes, let's schedule something! Dr. Cline then, says that she would like to induce on either Monday or Tuesday of next week. We're are so excited!! I called Chris after my appointment, told him and he was thrilled. We then called our parents to let them know. Both sets of parents will be able to make it down on Sunday, and be here for a few days afterwards. I'm hoping that with the induction that I won't have to have a c-section, but I am prepared for that if it needs to be. All that matters right now, is Baby getting here in a healthy way. We will post pictures as soon as we get some down time next week!
Black Friday Shopping & Christmas Decorating
We woke up early to do some Black Friday shopping today. Couldn't believe how many people were at Wal-Mart. It was a madhouse. We then hit all the other good shopping stores that were on our list. I was hoping that I could shop my way into labor :) After hours of shopping, we came home, all of us took a much needed rest. Once we were energized, we decided we needed to go back to Wal-Mart (I guess we were interested to see the aftermath), came home and began our Christmas decorating throughout the house. It was nice, because Mom & Dad helped us re-arrange our furniture to make room for the Christmas tree. I definitely wouldn't have been able to do that. Here are some pictures of the decorating.
Thanksgiving Overdue
Thanksgiving Day. It was one of my favorite Thanksgivings so far. We were happy to have my Mom & Dad drive in from OK, and they were willing to do the cooking...hey, I'm as big as the turkey these days. Chris and I went to the Shreveport/Bossier Rescue Mission to help serve meals during the lunch shift. After our volunteering, we came home, and enjoyed our Thanksgiving feast.
This year we are thankful for so many things...
*for our freedom and the brave men & women who protect it
*for our parents and the constant love & support they give to us
*for our brothers & sisters, we may be apart in distance, but only phone calls away
*for Ryan & Justin W, who have shown us what heroism looks like
*for my good dogs, who will never care about anything, but the heart we give them
*for our friends, good times and good memories always
*for my WONDERFUL husband, who is my best friend in the entire world
*for the Air Force, who couldn't given us a better PCS. Nice to be closer to family and friends
*for the healthy unborn baby who will be born in a few short weeks-we can't to meet him/her

the weekend.
My Friday was ever so wonderful. A friend had given me a 90 minute prenatal massage for a baby shower gift...what a good friend & a good gift :) She worked out all the sore places I have been having lately. My lower back, shoulders, feet, lower back again. She had a table with a hole in it, that I would be able to lay down on, but I was too small for the table. I settled for on the sides with pillows, which I didn't mind at all. Afterwards, I came home, and Chris and I made a nice cozy bed on the couch, and watched some DVR tv.
Saturday, we took down all the Christmas decorations and decided since I was feeling pretty good, and up to it, we would do some decorating around the house. We usually do this the day after Thanksgiving after all the Black Friday sale shopping. I know it seems a bit premature, but we just don't know when Baby O is coming, and if I'd get to do any decorating once Baby O arrives. Later that evening, Chris and I went to dinner at a fine steakhouse establishment called, Ernest's. It was delicious. We decided we needed to do a nice dinner, before Baby O gets here. It was a bit bittersweet...it got me thinking, "gosh, it has been Chris & I for so long--10 years, now we will have another human in our little family, and from there it will continue to grow" After dinner, I came home to watch OU demolish Texas Tech with a 65-21 win! Boomer Sooner!!
Sunday, we went to Mass in the morning, and had a very relaxing Prison Break watching day.
I can't believe Thanksgiving is this week. I have been craving Thanksgiving dinner since June! I'll finally get to eat it! I can see myself stuffing my face silly with food, and then going into labor. I'm going to try my hardest seeing, it's my BFF Sarah's birthday on Thursday! :) I'm looking forward to having my Mom & Dad visit for Thanksgiving. My sister will be staying in Ardmore...boo. Oh well, we'll be sure to send some turkery her way :)

I've been tagged. Now you're it!
Tagged. Now, I tag Brittany, Kristi, Kathy, Felicia, and anyone who would like to get tagged.
Elizabeth tagged me in her blog (The Akins Blog), so now I must tell you 6 facts about myself. Hmmm, where to start.
**Running is my therapy. It is really one of my favorite things to do. I have been on a hiatus during these last few weeks of my pregnancy. Walking has been a suitable substitution, but can't truly replace how I feel after a long good run. I'm hoping to get back to my old running schedule as soon as Baby comes out, and I of course have healed. There are a few races around town, that I'm looking into for spring. Aaah, I can't wait.
**My best friend happens to be my husband. Chris is truly my best friend. I met him 10 years ago in college, and have been together ever since. He makes me smile, laugh, sometimes, a little frazzled, but I love him for the husband and friend he is.
**I am an Air Force Wife. The Air Force has been such a blessing experience for both Chris and I. We are so happy to be part of an amazing military branch. We are grateful for all the travels and experiences, along with all the wonderful friends we have met along the way. I never got to move out of Oklahoma, until I married Chris, and we were stationed to the west of the country in AZ.
**Current occupation status-Stay at Home Wife-soon to be Mommy. The one job, I ever wanted to be was a stay at home Mom. Now, I have this wonderful opportunity to do that. With all the budget and saving that Chris and I have done the past few years, will allow me to stay at home with our new baby due any week now. Teaching preschool has been a great learning experience for me, and I hope to do it again, but now it's time for me to have babies of my own, and be what I always wanted to be. I can remember in school, the teacher asking "What we want to be when we grow up?" Some classmates answered "a lawyer, basketball player, actress" I answered "a Mommy"
**I love cooking and trying new recipes. I try to use the whole grains, healthy foods, but I do give in every once in a while and have to have something delicious like shrimp scampi. Baking is something that I like to do also. I'm trying my hand at decorative cakes...ya know for the little ones. Chris has an incredible sweet tooth, so I have to limit the amount of baking I do around here. :)
**Pictures Pictures Pictures. I just love taking pictures, having pictures taken, and placing them around my house. I took a few classes in high school, and college, and one day would really love
to have my own dark room. I think pictures are so priceless. I should put all of my albums, in a fire protective cabinet in case something ever did happen to my house. Note, buy fire protective cabinet immediately :)

Joining the Blog Bandwagon.
So, I keep hearing how everyone is blogging, and we'll I just caved and decided to join. I figure it's a pretty convenient way for friends and family to stay in the loop of our "happenings" in Shreveport, LA. So here is what the past 10 months have brought us.
January~Still in Columbus AFB, MS awaiting Chris' UPT Graduation. Chris and a few other T-38 guys rolled into 08-05 class due to weather & plane issues. Normally, Olivia would be rather upset at the few more extra weeks of UPT, but since her BFF Sarah's husband is in 08-05, she was thrilled. Also, the 08-04 & 08-05 classes meshed so well, it was hard to tell who belonged to which class.
February~Assignment Night! We found out that Chris & Olivia will be moving to Barksdale AFB in Louisiana. Chris will be flying the B-52 bomber. Chris is happy. Olivia is happy. Our family is happy. It will be nice to be so much closer to family and friends.
Graduation! 15 Feb 08 After years of applying, hard work, and dedication, Chris is now a Pilot in the USAF. Our families were able to join us on this special day. We were thrilled that Ryan could fly in from Hawaii, and a even sweeter surprise from Sherry flying in Germany! We thank you all so much for all the love and support throughout the year of UPT.
March~Move to Barksdale in the middle of March....homeless.
April~On 04 Apr at 0200, Olivia wakes Chris up to tell him that she is pregnant!!! Calls Mom-in-law first to give her the news, then Dad-in-law, next we drove out to Ardmore, OK to surprise my parents with the news of them becoming Grandparents. One of my favorite days ever.
May~Took a 10 day trip to Hawaii to visit Ryan (Chris' brother). Absolutely lovely and a bit well deserved after a crazy year of pilot training, and work.
20 May~Chris begins FTU training on the B-52. He also put Barskdale as our number 1 choice of station. It could either be here or Minot, ND....we're hoping with Olivia's due date being so close to Chris' graduation, they'll stay here in LA.
29 May~Staying in Barksdale! So happy! Now the house hunting can begin!
June~Put bid on a house we love! Bid accepted! Moving out of apartment! Visit Liz & Tyler for their Anniversary Party themed Beer Olympics...no fair for Olivia.
July~Visit family in Kansas City for the 4th of July weekend. Happy to see Sherry & Justin, and being a part of Justin's Captain promotion. Olivia stays in Ardmore for two weeks with her Mom & Dad, and gets to see Sarge & Goomba. Her parents are thrilled to have her here and pamper the Mommy-to-be.
23 July~Chris & Olivia become homeowners! Move in the following day!
25 July~A sad day in the B-52 community. A plane crashed killing all 6 crew members off the coast of Guam. Details still unknown. The squadron recently deployed and is from the 20th Bomb Squadron, which Chris will be a part of. Thoughts & prayers go out to all family, friends, and Barksdale AFB.
August~Chris & Olivia fly out to Tucson for Dave & Debi's wedding! Good to see old friends! Chris celebrates his 29th birthday! Friends from TX and OK come out to visit for the weekend.
September~Chris' parents and Ryan come out to visit for the Labor Day weekend! Hurricane Gustav makes it's way to LA coast. Chris is called in to fly a plane out to Minot.
Later this month, Olivia's parents host a Couples Baby Shower for them. Their best friends Bret & Sarah flew out from TN to join them.
October~Preparing for Baby Occhiuzzo's arrival. Classes, meetings, functions, and volunteering, keep Olivia pretty busy this month. Her parents make a trip out to visit the last weekend of the month. Makes it the 8th time they see each other this year. How awesome to be so much closer to each other.
Well, there you guys have it, a brief rundown of the past 10 months. I will next post a blog, about how the past few months of pregnancy has been treating me and Chris.
