bad bad blogger.

i've been on the naughty blogger list. little baby boys don't let their mommies have computer time. so, here's a few events that have taken place...we were busy these past two months!

february~we took miles on his first road trip of many to ardmore. my parents were just thrilled to have us visit for valentine's weekend. how much sweeter can it get with a cutie pie like miles? the following weekend, was mardi gras weekend, and what better time to have our dear friends visit from ok & tx. it was the perfect occassion to introduce miles as an inductee into the "party boys" crew. at the end of the month, we took another trip, and this time we ventured out to good old columbus afb, ms! huh? you read that right. we went back for dave & elizabeth's assignment night, and for an extra treat sarah & bret drove out to meet miles! columbus, turns out to be a perfect halfway point for the both of us to drive. i can just see the hitchin' post & la fiesta reunions that lie ahead.

march~this month turned out to be a month with many highlights. i celebrated my 4th anniversary of my 25th birthday on the 9th. it was my first birthday as mommy. miles got me a very delicious and adorable cake...he ordered a photo cake of himself (thoughtful, isn't he?), and for his gift he made a ceramic handprint. my birthday gift this year was a choice between several items...a knife block set, a tree for the backyard (2nd choice), new bedding for our bedroom, or a laptop. i couldn't pass up the chance for a laptop! now, hopefully with the laptop, i can be more of a blogger! we took a long trip out to kansas city in hopes to welcome my brother in law from iraq. he was scheduled to return to the states for his r&r 2 week break. we jumped at the chance to in hopes that miles could meet his uncle ryan. we did in fact got to see ryan and visit for several days before we had to come back to shreveport. i am pretty sure that miles left an impression on his uncle ryan's heart.
